Wasabisabi - Winnipeg

A little pricey or we would be here weekly! Great ambience, never busy at lunch but always need reservations for dinner if you want a table.

I had a fantastic experience at Wasabisabi! The food was outstanding, and our server went above and beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I will definitely return with friends and highly recommend this restaurant! The sashimi and sushi are fantastic, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is romantic. This is likely the best Japanese restaurant in Winnipeg! The online reservation system is very convenient; I left a message requesting a quiet table for a private birthday celebration, and they accommodated us perfectly. We had a wonderful time!

We waited at least 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, would be acceptable if the restaurant wasn 't dead (Jets game). We got out first dish Yuzu Truffle Butterfish and wanted to try with Soy Sauce- server nowhere to be found, flagged down another server. He brought it for us, then gave a snooty remark saying we don 't serve that with the butterfish . Sorry, don 't really enjoy under the breath remarks about how to eat the food we pay for! We 've been to restaurants where the server explains this is the way the chef wanted us to try it, but this particular server made us feel like we were incompetent and not worthy to eat at their restaurant.

Very over priced for the amount of food. Presentation was fine, taste/flavours very good. Some gluten free but limited. Service was good prompt. Nice for an occasion but have no plans to return.
