They’re bursting with flavor and covered in a light, crispy batter. The shrimp and scallops are also fantastic, and the fries are cooked to perfection. My only minor complaint would be that the coleslaw is a bit dry and lacks flavor. But honestly, with those incredible clams, who cares? Absolutely delicious!
Holy Crustaceans, Batman! This was the BEST lobster roll in Maine. After a 10-day adventure along the East Coast, this was my final stop, and what a fantastic finale it was. They absolutely nailed the cooking of the seafood—scallops, shrimp, mussels, and, best of all, the lobster. A huge shoutout to the talented chefs! Our waitress, Brogen, was exceptional and particularly wonderful with little kids. Plus, the view of the water was a wonderful bonus. I highly recommend this hidden gem!
This classic Maine seafood restaurant offers a fantastic outdoor seating experience right along the Kennebec River. While the place could use a little modernization, it has its own unique charm. I've enjoyed some wonderful dinners here, along with a few that were just average. Tonight, I ordered baked stuffed haddock and steamers to go, which I enjoyed on my dock while watching the sunset. Both dishes were excellent! If you’re in the area, this spot is definitely worth checking out. It’s quintessential seafood in Maine, right by the river, with a great local atmosphere!
Very good very friendly didn't try the lobster. Unfortunately I didn't have a lobster option that was available to add on to a meal. Either had to have lobster or something else as an entree. I'll have to come back and try the lobster next time. Add on! The night after I eat this meal I was awoken with horrible nausea. I almost felt like trying to make myself vomit. I think I got sick from the clams. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think I'm going to eat here again.
This is a nice restaurant. It has a beautful location on a hill/cliff area on the river with veiws of the area up and down river and a dam. Very nice. The inside is kind of plain and nothing special but clean with a casual feel. We were here on a Saturday night with a large group of folks. The staff was very nice and it was obvious they were understaffed so service was spoty and slow at times. I noticed people walking in and it took too long for anyone to greet them as no one seemed to really pay much attention to the host/hostess desk. As for the food it was pretty good but not great if you do not like seafood. That was my wifes situation as she had a steak. One of only a couple of non-seafood selections. The seafood was very good and fairly priced for what you get. This menaing the sides are pretty basic such as baked potatoes and plain vegatbles. I had the Maine lobster dinner which was very good. It came with clams and seafood chowder all of which were very good. All in all a decent place to have an inexpensive dinner with a great view.
