Cook Out - Winston-Salem

Food is usually good! Not many times it taste overcooked or old. But overall very decent for the price you pay, well worth it if it's cooked right! Milkshakes are the best!

I love cook out, just moved back to NC from Texas after 17yrs and cook out was one of the 1st places i went. Things have changed allot over the last 17yrs, the food is still great but for some reason I can 't get them to make it the way I ask, been very clear every time. All I want is a cheddar style with light onions and add Cajun seasoning. Last night I asked clearly and politely, and repeated it to make sure but the girl just keeps on shouting anything else over and over, never repeating my order back or even tell me the total just drive around .. not only was my burger not how I asked but the fries were very under cooked and super soggy, the order of cheese bites wasn 't even half full. Was very disappointed, I wouldn 't mind waiting in the line for 30 minutes or longer if it was at least made the way I asked. The food is still great at cook out but the service is pure trash! The locations on University and Acron belive it or not are even worse! Peter 's creek is the only one half decent but they usually have a line all the way out to the street, I would have high hopes for that big fancy one being built on Reynolda rd but everything on Reynolda already sucks so I 'm not expecting any different... very sad and let down with cook out...the one in King is amazing but I 'm not gonna drive all the way to King for some cook out and we got 4 in Winston smh

We went to this location for the first time. Their sanitation rating was 92 which is one of the lower ones I've seen. When we pulled up to the window there outside of it looked like it had not been cleaned in years. The plus side was the customer service was great. The food was just okay, their fries were not crispy at all but the chicken strips and cheeseburger was good. The banana shake was really good.

The food was so hot and fresh that the hush puppies burned through the plate. I ordered the burger bowl with frits and Hushpuppies and the sweet tea. He ordered the bacon Cheeseburg tablet with double nuggets and a cheerwine. The food was still hot when I made it home. You're never disappointed.

The tablet is such a good value. Burgers are excellent, I have the 1/4 pound burger steak style, onion rings and cheese bites. Cheese bites are so good. They're like cheese fried. This place is usually quite busy, but they are very fast through the ride thru.
