El Triunfo - Winston-Salem

Small little place. I came when I first moved here in 2018. And yum. Been here a couple times after that. I just order the pupusas and tamales. I'm not a fan of Cole slaw but the slaw they make is incredible. I guess I should try something else.

So delicious and left very full and happy! Very good prices too and good portions! I also thought that the staff was friendly and also served our food very quickly! Thanks for the very tasty meal and I will recommend this place to my friends! :

I absolutely adored this restaurant. I am a huge fan of Hispanic cuisine, so when this place was recommended to me, I was excited to try it out. The decor was stunning, and the server who attended to my girlfriend and me was very friendly. The food was exceptional and unlike anything I had tried before. I had never experienced Salvadorian cuisine, but their pupusas and tamales were delicious. The food took a bit longer to arrive because it was so worth the wait. I enjoyed my first meal so much that I ended up ordering a second for dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to satisfy their Salvadorian food cravings.

We decided to visit this restaurant based on a 4.5 star Yelp review. Located near the intersection of North Point and University, the restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The owner personally took our order, as it is a family-run business that has been established for several years. I ordered the El Triunfo special, which consisted of chicken, carne asada, and grilled shrimp, while my wife opted for the carne asada. The dishes tasted like a delicious home-cooked meal, with the main items being excellent and the rice, beans, and pico de gallo also being very tasty. Despite being from Jersey City and D.C., we found the food to be as good as any we have had elsewhere. Another reviewer mentioned the simplicity of the food, and we agree that sometimes simplicity is all that is needed to make a dish great. The owner was unaware of Yelp but was pleased to hear about the positive reviews. He and his wife were incredibly kind and welcoming. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant for more good food, good prices, and the company of nice people. Overall, it was a great experience that we will happily repeat.

The food at this restaurant is really delicious! We tried the pupusas with chicken and pork, and they were excellent. The salsa was also very tasty. Although it took a little time to cook, it was worth the wait, as anything made to order typically takes a bit longer. I would definitely dine here again!
