Our waitress was super nice vegetarian so she validated some of the food I got . Sushi and the general tso tofu was amazing! Great portions too. Definitely will come back when I'm visiting NC.
Don 't do it. Wait time for delivery was a little over an hour. Fine. I ordered Chicken Thai Fried Noodles, with no onions. Not so fine. Please see the picture of my Chicken Thai Fried Noodles order. No that 's not the camera lighting, or a special sauce...it 's pink noodles, boiled in what tastes like diluted sweat. With onions. I didn 't like it, and the order was messed up, ok no problem. I decided to call back and alert them of the mistake. Their response was: bring in the food to the restaurant and we 'll see what we can do. (I paid the delivery fee and tip for a reason. It 's 25 degrees outside, and......it 's 25 degrees outside. I am not happy). Prior to hanging up, I asked to switch to a different, less expensive order, simply because I wanted something that had a quick preparation time. And of course, I was not about to eat those Fear Factor noodles. Long story short, I showed them the food, with onions, and they DENIED THERE WERE ANY ONIONS... as I 'm staring down at the onions. They refused to take the food back. And they refused to switch the order, unless I purchased a new order. Most importantly, they refused to refund me. In other words, I drove 20 minutes in the cold for nothing, and I 'm still hungry. Very disappointing experience.
They deliver to my side of town and that is the only reason I tried this place...plus I could order via Yelp Eat24. It was a Friday night and the ETA was 81 minutes and they delivered EXACTLY at 81 minutes. Truth! Overall, we enjoyed our meal but it was pricey even before the $3.50 delivery charge and the tip. The $1.50 spring roll was a joke since it was practically the size of my thumb. Two rolls for $1.50 would have been reasonable. The avocado salad $5.95) was thinly sliced avocado over iceberg lettuce it was nice but served with ranch dressing instead of ginger like I assumed. The $15 shrimp and broccoli contained a good amount of tail on shrimp; the sauce was unique and on the sweet side. The $10 Singapore noodles were very light on shrimp and chicken and the curry was mild you can adjust the heat level). The crab Rangoon were tasty but would have been way better had they been crispy hot the risk of delivery on a Friday night.
The stars I gave are solely based on the food. I hate reviewing based on service but I think since it was a restaurant wide thing, it needs to be out there. Went for a late lunch and we were the only ones in there. Waited around 7 minutes for the waitress to even come up to us. There were two people up front that worked there that were in a heated argument about a delivery order. I know this because they walked around the entire restaurant screaming at each other and into the phone so while we were entertained to watch it, we were also hungry and couldn't even find the waitress. I mean, it was so bad that we actually just walked up to the sushi bar and got our own food because no one was running it. We even had to go up to someone else and ask if anyone could come help us. For the only people in the place, this is just ridiculous. The sushi though! It was beautiful, delicious and presented at perfection! I had the green tea roll and it was so amazing. I couldn't tell you why its named the green tea roll other than its green on the outside from avocado laid on it but if I go back, I will be ordering it again. I also got the spicy California roll which was ok; I feel it was over done for a simple roll. Their chef special rolls are BOGO 50%. They also have a great lunch special of 3 rolls for $12 but they are very plain, simple rolls. My friend had egg drop soup that was superb. The spring roll was really tiny but ok. Japanese dumpling soup was a no from me. I feel like I should try here again just so they can redeem themselves from whatever disaster they were dealing with but I may go at a regular eating time so they realize they have customers.
Went for lunch today. I had the Three Musketeers and the spicy Rainbow Roll, both are chef speciality rolls. Here you buy one and get the other half off. My wife had the bento box and loved everything it came with. But back to the sushi; fresh, flavorful and absolutely delicious are perfect ways to describe. This was our first time here and we thought the food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff were all fantastic. We will definitely be making this place a regular and look forward to trying new options!
