Northside Cafe - Winterset

This place served faster than any fast food place and food WOW! The eggs Benedikt mmmmm the homemade bread is better than Grandmas. It's a must. We've been the best hometown café from 4 hours away.

I've been working in Winterset for almost two years and never tried this little jewel. I don't want to eat much, but I can't believe I've waited so long to taste her food. I was a little sticker shocked when I was rural Iowa. I had her lunch special, chicken flourentin sandwich and a cup of her home cream of mushroom soup. Wow! I took the first **** of soup and I was pleasantly surprised. Great texture and taste! The sandwich was juicy and also burst with flavors. I'll go back there to try something else! Definitely worth the .

The waiting staff was friendly... the food was great and the service was fast. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends if they are in the area

Four of us gathered for lunch at the Northside Cafe in May. We only see each other once a year, so wanted a place where we visit, eat and just relax. My husband and I shared a wonderful Tylloin that was shared for us. The waitress and her trainer were so helpful. We filled our meal with a Rhabarb/Strohbeeren basket. Our waitress even shared the dessert. We're coming back!

We eat here regularly because the food is SO good. The sweet potato fries melt in your mouth. The local beer and wine they offer never disappoints.
