Taqueria Tere - Winterville

I absolutely love this place, both for its location and its food. It's one of my favorite spots for quick takeout before heading to a nearby brewery. I've noticed that many local Mexican restaurants tend to serve overly buttery or greasy dishes, but the food here is incredibly fresh, and the salsas are fantastic. Keep up the excellent work!

The steak tacos here are the best I've ever tasted! The quesadillas and burrito bowls are also amazing! You definitely won't regret trying this place.

I believe I've just had the best tacos of my life! A mother and son from Southern Mexico near Guatemala run this place. They're really friendly, and the flavors were absolutely amazing. The chicken was seasoned in a way I've never experienced before. Both the steak and chicken were cooked to perfection, and the homemade tortillas were fantastic. We even convinced the mother to sell us a dozen to take home! It’s about an hour away, and we're already planning to return on Monday for Mama's tamales.

Without a doubt, this is the best authentic Mexican food in town. I highly recommend the taco asada with salsa verde. If you’re really hungry, give the barbacoa quesadilla a try. I will definitely be returning soon!

I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit here. My friend and I ordered a steak torta, chicken quesadilla, and two steak tacos each. The food was excellent! The wait time was reasonable too; we were in and out pretty quickly.
