This charming pub is located in the heart of the city and is dog-friendly both inside and in the outdoor garden. They offer a great selection of drinks, along with a menu that caters to both vegetarian and vegan options. The service was outstanding, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

I had a lovely meal there today and would highly recommend it. The staff were attentive and very polite; nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I would definitely return!

I had a wonderful Ploughman’s lunch today outside in the beautiful sunshine. It featured a delicious selection of cheeses, pork cakes, and ham, accompanied by handcrafted bread, a delightful swirl of relish, and perfectly wobbly pickles. Everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The sharing plate was generous enough to satisfy two very hungry people or three with lighter appetites. Yesterday, I also enjoyed the Butternut Squash soup, which was fantastic. I love the renovations and appreciate the relaxed atmosphere, complemented by the beautiful and attentive staff.

Yesterday afternoon in the renovated hope anchor. still very much wip and the very beautiful rustic/stressed look and the feeling works well. restaurant in the back room also comes soon. no T.V simply great jazz/swing music, good beer, good business and good talk. nice to see the place open again.

Had the tandoori cod burger it was beautiful. Children’s portions are a genourous size as well. Brilliant service as well.
