Gill's Kitchen - WIRRAL

Another fantastic visit to Gill's, a hidden gem in Heswall. The home-cooked meals are reasonably priced and there is a welcoming atmosphere. It's perfect for people, like me, who are gluten-free. Gill's even goes above and beyond by making off-menu special french toast (eggy bread) for me. Gill is a star!

I stumbled on the pavement and was left bruised and shaken. The kind woman from the cafe came out to me, offered me a cup of tea, and wouldn't accept payment. The interior of the cafe was warm and inviting, and the tea was perfect. The menu looked appetizing as well. It's convenient if you're taking the bus as it's located right by the bus station. Thank you for your kindness and care!

Located next to the bus station, you might mistake this place for a traditional diner from the outside. However, upon entering, you are greeted with a charming and tastefully decorated seaside-themed interior. The welcoming owner, Gill, made our experience even better. The hearty big breakfast was delicious and came with toast and a hot drink. We returned the following day only to find it closed, which was a disappointment. This cozy cafe surpassed the nearby pretentious coffee shops, one of which didn't even have bacon on their breakfast menu. Overall, a great spot for a delicious meal. Thank you Gill!

Gill's cafe looks somewhat nondescript from the outside but walk in and you'll feel right at home! The decor is like that of a seaside cafe, with soothing tones of blue and white. The pretty cushions on chairs is a lovely touch. There are daily specials and cakes. We enjoyed friendly, genuine service. Will return!

Freshly made good. I was given free bottle of water as they had no sugar free canned drinks. Excellent service.
