Colotlan offered a comforting taste of home for this Texan working in Wisconsin. Both the verde and roja salsas provided a wonderful kick along with great flavor. The Jarritos were served ice cold, which was refreshing. I ordered enchiladas, and the chile gravy was flavorful with just the right amount of cheese—none of that excessive cheese covering that I dislike. The beef mixed with onions and chile peppers had a fantastic taste. The homemade refried beans were packed with flavor. The owner was in the kitchen and greeted everyone with a warm smile!

The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very family-friendly. I will definitely return; you've earned my business for sure!

I’d like to start by saying that I used to come here with my parents when I was a child, but I hadn’t been back in years. I decided to give it another try, and I was not disappointed! We were warmly welcomed by the cook, who struck up a conversation with us. My daughter was a bit cranky and hungry, so he asked what she wanted to make it right away. He brought the food out very quickly, and it was incredible, even better than I remembered! Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Finally! An authentic Mexican restaurant! This is my top pick in the Dells! The interior might be cozy, but the flavors in the food are remarkable. I'm quite picky about my beans, and I can assure you these are far from average canned beans – they are absolutely delicious! I really wish they would share their recipe with me! The street tacos are also exceptional!
