Road Fish Chip Shop - Witham

This takeout has really disappointed me to the point where I’ve decided to stop ordering from them altogether. They used to serve great fish and chips, but recently the fish portions have shrunk, and the chips are dry and likely a day old, just reheated. After another disappointing meal with tough fish and rubbery chips, I finally gave up, fed the leftovers to a group of seagulls who fought over them, and decided to sever ties with Spa for good. I won’t be returning!

Overall, the service has improved significantly. They are now focusing more on serving customers at the counter more quickly, rather than prioritizing phone and online orders.

Placed an order to be delivered the Chinese lady said ain't busy be 20 minutes was like cool ok then an hour later went by and rung back to see where my food was. She didn't understand what I was saying and became rude as well as the other staff. She said one minute it's on the way then it will be 10 minutes then it will be later. There was no straight answer to as where my food was obviously she took my order and didn't make it. It was now 9pm and she kept saying be later then when I said look we don't want the food now cancel the order she became very rude and started shouting down the phone at me. I had to be firm with her and say look we don't want it now calcel the order never go there again they need.to work on there customer service. Only gave one star coz had to to write a review

Absolutely love this place Always give them a tip Friendly people

The sausage and chips were fantastic—fresh and delicious, just like the mini spring rolls. The service was excellent as well. However, there was a downside: my plain chow mein had a sour smell when I opened it and tasted like something out of a moldy old fridge.
