Feedback gevenThis club was by far THE BEST in watamu. Had a Dj who knew how to pump the crowd with a mix of music and not just the usual swahili songs that are most common in the coastal areas. Kudos to this team
Great place to visit, the music, food and ambience is quite amazing
The place to be if you are in watamu. friendly stuff, quality service, the ambiance awesome and sumptuous meals
Even during the off-seasons, Kalahari remains the only high-standard club open, featuring an excellent DJ and live African Bango music for those interested. The waitstaff are incredibly welcoming and friendly; feel free to ask them anything about Watamu, and they’ll gladly share their knowledge. The locals are also engaging and communicative—they often show visitors around town as a way to earn a little extra. At Kalahari, you can enjoy drinks of your choice, and they offer Wi-Fi access once you purchase a drink. The spacious, open environment allows for fresh air, and don’t forget to check out their delicious food specials. I hope you enjoy every moment there. Sending kisses and love!
They are only open during the peak seasons. During the off-seasons, the place feels deserted and a bit unkempt, with few staff members available to serve. I was very hungry and tried to order some nyama choma or something for a quick snack, but the waiter looked at me as if I was out of place. I’m considering visiting during the busy season to see if things are any better.
