As a wedding gift 2021 we have received an overnight stay plus 4 courses menu and champagne reception on the tower. It was already difficult to find an appointment so it was planned in spring/summer 2022 then October. This was probably due to the many weddings that were to catch up. Well, on arrival, the lady at the reception didn't know where to go with us and made the impression as if you were very surprised by our reservation. But after some time could call a rough run for the evening. Then it went to the room, which was nice and we say it was authentic. The nice Lord who accompanied us on our room briefly showed us the most important, looked into the bathroom and said everything was fine there. Now to my impression, the bathroom was an absolute catastrophe, although the equipment was adequate but so incredibly dirty, starting with a rain shower that was as rusty and calcified as I have never seen. Continue over large amounts of hair in the shower and everywhere. On the tiles in the drain at the shower gel dispenser, so honestly very unbeautiful. And yes it is an old castle but dust and dirt have nothing to do with authentic in the price class just as little as rough fiber and PVC floor. The diffusor of the moan is actually black was from a gray layer of whatever was covered and on the mirror it was possible to read the messages of various guests before us. The toilet was so clean. So room an absolute fall almost a reason to leave. But we had hunger and a babysitter so on the tower, champagne was cooled, the view good the sun seemed all right. But I would have personally found a chair, possibly a ceiling in October at wind and 12 degrees, but that only as a tip. Nice to eat thanks to the champagne. 4 Ways surprise menu that was really solid, not too fancy and craftsmanship very good. But also in the restaurant I found everything a little bit cuddly but possibly that's so designed. I like it clean and well maintained and knows from other very old houses that this is quite possible. As we drank well, we had slept in the very small bed about 130 wide and fast. Then still breakfast, that was standard without eggs!!! And at daylight it was clearly not cuddly but dirty it is in the restaurant, cutlery boxes, lamps, walls etc. That was our Berlepsch experience and it's enough. With all love, all together our coupons and what we have paid for will certainly cost between 450€-500€ for that it was really bad. And only one castle does not have the right to move with guests. We were very intimidated and a little sad about the money. As a result, staff better train, clean and invest in small things e.g. a new toilet brush and a new garbage bucket in the men's toilet of the restaurant( igitt)!!! I would have liked to have dealt with the points directly, but only the very nice lady of the breakfast service was present at the departure morning and you did not seem to be the right person. Even if the process and the offers have been e-mailed beforehand, it is nice to receive information on site. The eggs for breakfast are more than a proposal and less to be understood as a criticism. It is a beautiful castle with a long family tradition. I had a beautiful castle tour, had a very delicious 5 courses menu, had good sleep and delicious breakfast! It was a wonderful experience! A wonderful castle that puts you in a different time. Food and service are first class and we like to come back.

Christmas market: wet and cold, but the castle protrudes out of the fog with the beautiful market drive and the ambience. Nice again. Nice people, beautiful though few, creative stands. Fortunately also in the warm Burgkeller.
