I've used this chippy on several occasions, usually late on a Tuesday night just before they close. They have always been very accommodating and have even offered to cook a specific item that was no longer available. Friendly staff. Will gladly recommend. I've used and really liked this chippy for years. It used to be the best chippy around, however I recently contracted food poisoning off their Southern fried chicken. I ordered 2 pieces with chips, I didn't enjoy the chicken so gave most of one piece to the dog. An hour or two later the dog was sick. During the night both myself and the dog had the runs. I had to take two days off work. A few weeks ago, a friend told me a similar story, about how it had made him ill. He warned me to avoid and said it's gone downhill. I wished I'd listened to my friend and avoided. It's a real shame because the food used to be brilliant and the staff are usually great too.
