The Food was Delicious! I ordered the Achete plate. I ate everything and was still licking my fingers ? that brown sauce in the tiny black plastic cup that comes with the Achete was so good ?, I dipped my egg in it and I saved it to eat with my boiled eggs the next couple days. The other thing that I ordered was the Casava leaf and white rice ?, very tasty….everything was definitively worth the price and wait time. You definitely get what you pay for. The only thing I didn’t like was the kind of rice used. I really hope y’all open a restaurant soon. It is nice to connect with people from different cultures, and what better way to do that? With food ? ….I definitely will be ordering today, I just don’t know what I want yet because there are so many tasty dishes when it comes to any type of African cuisine lol I am having a hard time choosing right now ? ….Out of the other 4 African restaurants that I have tried so far in Virginia, Hijara’s is number 1.-O’Brian

I got to know the cook by chance. I trusted her to cater to my event without having a taste of her meal, and she delivered exceptionally. My guests were satisfied and loved the food, asking me who made the food. She makes very tasty food and drinks. I would recommend any day.

Ordered jollof rice, efo riro and suya. Best I’ve had in the DMV area. Will highly recommend to anyone looking to try African cuisine.
