Thomas Edison Rest Stop - Woodbridge

Looks like its newly renovated, modernized facilities, faster grocery stores, more bathroom stands, can be very crowded inside, and parking could be a challenge depending on the time of day. I could skip this rest area next time because of the number of vehicles that make gas filling longer.

There were no showers for truckers, but the parking lot was decent, especially since I was feeling a bit out of it. The restrooms were impressively clean compared to others I've encountered. There's definitely truth to the saying, "trust your instincts." I should have waited in the long line at Starbucks instead. While the service at Pret was good, I was quite disappointed in the flavor considering the prices. I ended up spending $11.09 on two large lattes, $5.20 on one egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, and $8.35 on a cold-pressed fruit and vegetable drink. On the other hand, Chick-fil-A lived up to my expectations: excellent service and great taste. The only downside was they didn't have cheese sauce or fruit, but overall, I was still satisfied.

Due to the pandemic, some other service areas are closed, this location is in operation and looks different and beautiful. New design and new shops with larger capacity storage spaces for drivers and their passengers. Chick-fill A, Starbucks, Burger King and some other I don't remember. While I visited this place, was super busy with long queue before most shops as well as the toilets. Parking was full! People were looking for an empty space to park their car. Probably because of the closure of other service area, this location is so crowded with customers. But good to see so many people have good time here on their way to their destination.

A great spot to take a driving break, recharge, and continue your journey toward your destination.
