Sure there were tables with a few crumbs left but I just wiped off realizing they were very busy just not enough time between customers to do everything. Service was very quick when I pointed out some negative reviews to the seemingly interested young assistant she said she would pass on to the owner . My father in law had plain meat pie Cappuccino said both were great. My wife I had the spinach fetta sausage roll which was much bigger than normal sausage roll very tasty . However I found mine didn't hold together well the filling oozed out of the pastry. Would have liked to try something sweet after but found the selection a bit ordinary. I suggest the owner takes a visit to nearby Blackbutt Bakery for some of best pastries in Australia.
I don't usually buy pies because of some bad experiences in the past, but this is my second time trying pies from this place. They have a wonderfully light and flaky pastry with delicious fillings. The steak and kidney pie is probably the best I've ever had, and I’m quite seasoned when it comes to pies!
Delicious food with generous portions and friendly staff. I heard a story on the radio about how, as kids, they would have sausage rolls in bread rolls for lunch. I had to give it a try, and honestly, it was quite tasty! While this isn't a typical menu item, they have all the ingredients needed to put one together.
This bakery is wonderful and full of excitement! The service is excellent, the staff are friendly, and there's a fantastic selection of pies, pastries, and beverages. Parking can be a bit competitive, but it's definitely worth it. It's only an hour from Brisbane, making it a perfect spot for a day trip. You do need to sign a COVID tracing register upon entry, but that's a small price to pay for such a great experience.
They had great pies.
