The restaurant was quite empty on a Thursday night, so the ambience was lacking. However, the food and service were outstanding. We savored every bite.
The experience at the restaurant was consistent and excellent as usual. We were seated at a booth near the kitchen, which made the noise level a bit loud at times but it didn't interfere with our conversations.
I was disappointed in Fleming 's, mainly because the servers seemed fully and exclusively focused on running up the bill. It was almost a comedy; every two seconds the server suggested we buy another add-on. We ordered a few appetizers to share for the table, and he says maybe you should get two of each (which would have been overkill). We order the main meals, which are already expensive, and he pimps literally every person at the table about ordering an add-on side salad, then an add-on topping, then this, then that, even after my wife had ordered several sides for the table, and not relenting after the first four people all say a polite no. Then, while still taking that order, he starts nudging us about dessert. We say we 'd love to share the chocolate lava cake, and he (predictably) says I really think you should get two. On and on. The bill was large, and yet we still felt like we were disappointing him and being stingy, even though there was in the end tons of food, and the cost exceeded the value. But the constant pushing really ruined the experience for us. They upsell everything, non-stop.
Our server was on point, food was delicious, one of the best steakhouse experiences I’ve had.
