Recommend for anyone exploring the picturesque neighborhood of Woodstock, VT, this fall (or anytime) looking for a quick bite.
Back in town after being gone for a few years. Quite possibly the best corn chowder I've ever had in my 56 years on this planet. Seriously, it was sublime. While I knew the previous owners for decades and love them, the new owners have seriously stepped up the game for this Woodstock institution. Funky, upbeat atmosphere, Josh as always behind the counter asking how your day is going, the whole place is an absolute pleasure to visit. Chapeau.
If you love food in general and meats in particular you will love this place. It’s awesome to have a local butcher-shop, happy to support these guys!
This Village hotspot makes great sandwiches and sells fresh salads, tasty baked goods, and an array of other products. The sandwiches are terrific, made with fresh ingredients on delicious Vermont made bread. I'm a big fan of the BLTs and tuna salad. You'll also find fresh meats, a nicely chosen selection of wines, cheeses, drinks, and other condiments. Service is generally pretty fast, too and the owner and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.
We’ve been to this butcher shop a handful of times over the last almost two years or so, and it’s become a favorite stop. At this point, a trip to Woodstock wouldn’t be the same without it. We love the sandwiches and prepared foods (the eggs! , we appreciate the wine selection and we try to bring home a cut of meat to extend the memory of a great weekend away once we are back in NH. This time we grabbed a boned out leg of lamb. Can’t wait to try it later this week. And the muffins! I think their muffins may be the best I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of muffins. Really great staff, so friendly. Thanks for giving us a delicious choice when we visit.
