Walked up to the front door and it was cold and dark and the signs were unlit. No signs explaining why the business is closed. Did they go out of business already? Very disappointed so we'll have to go to our main Mexican restaurant.
Large burrito was very good. Guacamole was also tasty. It's good to finally have fresh home made Mexican food right around the corner.
I wish this place were here when I lived in Woodstown! I'm hoping I can bump them up another star after trying a few more menu items, and for trailblazing Mexican cuisine in Woodstown. This review is for them as a restaurant. At the time of writing the menu is a little limited, with the usual fare: burritos, quesadillas, and the like, with limited meat choices and options. As a couple of food notes, the menu says the quesadillas are made with American-style cheeses mozarella and jack ? , and not with the Oaxaca I'd expect. The veggie burrito was fine, though very short on beans. This is an endemic problem with Mexican restaurants in this area. I can't convince them that when people order a veggie burrito, they really don't want just rice and lettuce. They are expecting some beans and cheese and maybe some good vegetables. Really, they all need to add a bean-cheese-and-veggie burrito to the menu [and an egg and potato burrito! , but that's another struggle . Probably one other thing I should add: except for the junior burritos, I don't think there's anything on the menu less than $7. I understand the point of this, but it does push the price of a lunch up above what I normally pay, and runs counter to the world of $4 quesadillas and $2 empanadas. Upshot: Definitely worth stopping in for a take-out lunch or early take-out dinner. Would also be fine for an eat-in lunch or light dinner, tho at the time of writing, the ambiance was a little stark.
The food was very good the owners were tremendously friendly cosmetically not much to look at but don't be scared by that the food is very good.
I am so happy to have authentic Mexican food in Woodstown! I love the tamales. The kids expect me to bring them home every Thursday--Tamale Thursday! The fresh baked treats and homemade candies are delish. I really look forward to sampling the new full menu. The owners are so friendly. I hope they have great success!
