Essence Catering - Woolloongabba

Very relaxed brunch with background music set up a positive expectation. It was spot on with the poached egg, sautéed mushrooms, baby spinach with a light hollandaise sauce on soft thick Turkish bread stack. The melted cheese was a yummy touch. Mmm... mouthwatering. I'll be back - not with Arnie.

Freshly made wrap for one 8/10 Large soup of the day (was huge serving) with garlic bread. Excellent value and tasty. 10/10.

We had a few hours to fill in between doctors appointments and went wandering to find a place for lunch. We were drawn to the Essence Cafe and Catering across from PA Hospital because of the banks of greenery around it. What a great choice it turned out to be as the menu was broad enough to meet all requirements without being too large to be valid. The choices we made were all delicious and beautifully served by very pleasant staff, who checked on our needs and made sure we were happy. A great place to spend an hour or two

During my stay nearby and visiting family in the hospital, this restaurant became my go-to spot for breakfast. The $10 breakfast deal was great value, the service was friendly, and the coffee was good!

Visited Essence Café & Catering at Buranda today for lunch (Wednesday), and everything was perfect. We both ordered the Barra, chips and salad for $15.00, and it was beautifully cooked, and great value for the price. I also ordered a coffee thick shake for $6.50, and wow, what a surprise! The large metal milkshake container was full to the brim (which is so unusual these days), and real strong coffee from the coffee machine was used for the flavour, so nice and thick and yummy. 10/10. The café is spotlessly clean and well presented. The service we received from all of the staff was top quality, and they also provide "help yourself" table water and glasses at the entrance. Customers were constantly coming into the café and placing orders so that is a good sign of how good this café is. Well done and we will be back.
