Kalamos Greek Mediterranean Market

The moussaka, spinach pie, and pastichio have zero flavor and they’re not fresh. It was clear they were days old. Louie was friendly, but the two Greek people were rude and didn’t even acknowledge us. They sat there at the counter not even looking at us. It wasn’t a language barrier; they know English because they were literally speaking it to Louie, plus my partner is Greek and we both speak Greek. Louie also charged us for 4 moussaka when we only bought 2, which it seems they are DOING ON PURPOSE. Read the review from Costas Gkikis — he was routinely overcharged here!! Stay away.

A neighborhood gem. The family who runs it makes you feel like family, the variety of olives feta is wonderful.

Is it me, (not being Greek) so this is why I'm asking...I've been a few times, I love Pastitsio (sp) when I get it here I never taste any cinnamon and it also doesn't have sauce (red sauce) Are there different ways Greek people make it??? Thanks for any comments.

Really Awesome store, I went there with my girlfriend one time, then I kept going back. Super nice staff, and I always find awesome food there. Its always good quality stuff for a great value.

Following our trip to Greece, we were eager to relive some of those delicious flavors, and we found just the right spot. During our first visit, we were warmly welcomed by Nia and sampled some of their olives and dolmades, among other delights. Everything was fantastic! We can't wait to return soon.
