The Travellers Rest - Workington

It really changes the experience when your £10 meal turns into a 2 for £15 deal—it somehow enhances the flavor! I enjoyed both the food and the service. If I had to mention one minor downside, it would be the decor and atmosphere. Personally, I found it a bit dark and outdated.

I've always enjoyed hot food whenever I've visited this restaurant. The service is especially good, even during busy times when I've been part of a larger group. The meals have consistently arrived promptly, at the right temperature, and in the correct order. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and in need of a tasty meal.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We were part of a group of 20 celebrating a friend's birthday, and everyone received their orders simultaneously. They even allowed us to bring in a birthday cake! I’ve included pictures of my meal and my wife’s. I had the Traveler's Steak Burger, and my wife enjoyed the Lasagna. We both thought the dishes were fantastic; there was so much food that we couldn't finish it all, so no complaints from us!

From the moment we stepped through the door at Founding and Good Land, we felt truly welcomed.
