J. Gilbert’s – Wood Fired Steaks Seafood Worthington

The first time to eat here and can't wait to go back. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was phenomenal. We both ordered the Prix Fixe menu. The sourdough bread on the table was warm and perfectly baked. We both chose the salad for our first course. It was generous and delicious with a very nice house dressing. We had both files for our duck. Mine was petty and came with scallops. Rarely ordered and perfectly made and were absolutely fantastic. For our desserts we chose the apple crown and the carrot cake. These were some of the best desserts we had. We both shared and could not have been happier with our decisions. Very recommend this place for a special occasion or date.

As usual, it was an excellent experience we had at J Gilberts. Kim was our waitress and she was friendly and very efficient and expanded our experience. We will continue to use this is one of our top restaurant destinations. Karolina continues to do an excellent job as a manager.

The bartender (Shane) was very attentive and the food was great as usual! Thanks again for a great afternoon of food and drinks!!

Initial check in was horrible. Young lady at stand was rude and very poor service. A major disappointment for a first time diner. My server was excellent

My wife and I have been dining here for over 20 years. It’s typically one of our favorites. This most recent experience was just okay. The server did her best and we appreciated her efforts. The oysters were subpar. The entrees were ok. The price we paid is not reflective of the actual experience. We ordered essentially the same meals the week before at Columbus Fish Market for a third of the cost. No exaggeration. We will think twice about returning.
