Feedback gevenThe menu offerings aren’t entirely vegan, but the vegetarian dishes are prepared with sweet ghee (which doesn’t contain milk). The owner was wonderful and thoroughly explained which items contained milk. He checked everything carefully to ensure there was no cross-contamination. When it was time to pay, he even checked the ingredients in the complimentary chocolate and made recommendations for our next visit. We will definitely be returning! The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious!
The restaurant has an unusual decor that seems like a blend of a pub and a dining space, but don’t let that deter you. The menu is clearly tailored more towards meat lovers, but vegan and vegetarian options are well-marked, and the manager was very accommodating. For starters, vegans have limited choices, with the zwiebel bhaji being the only option, but there are several vegetarian dishes available. The tamarind sauce that comes with the bhaji is fantastic, and the dish itself is excellent. There are two vegan main course options listed under the vegetarian section, and we tried both; they were both delicious. The corma, made with coconut milk, was mild and had a sweet floral cauliflower flavor, while the other option had a nice kick to it. Both dishes were outstanding. Additionally, the Madras is also vegan if you choose the sweet option.
