The food was excellent along with the customer service. We will definitely do this again. The seasoning was perfect along with the freshness of the food. The process was so easy.
We ordered the Wrightsville Bay Bucket High Tider for 6 of us celebrating the demise of 2020. We also ordered Apple Annie's corn bread and key lime pie and had a most enjoyable meal to end a most unenjoyable year. The men that work there (at my age they are really boys) were pleasant to deal with and just topped off the experience. It was so great being able to talk about how great each bite was than talking about how miserable 2020 has been. We will be back...everything was wonderful.
Awesome beach meal!! If you like seafood, this is a must-do!! Totally love the concept of picking up and preparing at home!! The seafood was delicious, and the staff was helpful with ordering plenty of food for 6 people! It was so good the first time that we ordered for dinner another night on our trip! Cook time was a little longer than specified (we had so much food in our pot) but we figured it out! Several oysters didn’t open the first time we ordered, so we left them off the second time we ordered, and we were not disappointed! Crab, clams, shrimp, sausage...yum!
I vacation in North Carolina every year for spring break with my family and was missing the boils we always order so I decided to have this delivered. I ordered the basic delivery pot and it took 8 days to be delivered. When it finally did arrive, the shrimp smelled terrible, the sausage looked like dog food, and the portion sizes were embarrassing. The shrimp smelled so bad and because all of the “ice packs” were completely melted, I was not comfortable cooking it. So disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. $100 down the drain.
We decided to skip the restaurant and visited Topsail Steamer to put our own dinner together. This 1st trip was pretty good with us putting shrimp and crab legs in with the corn and potatoes for the dinner. We just added 16z of beer and steamed for 40 minutes, then 8 more for the shrimp, adding their seasoning and you're ready to go. The only negatives were a few shrimp were a little mushy and we definitely needed more seasoning for the final stage. They also offer clams, scallops, lobster, sausage as well as desserts such as Key Lime and Blueberry pies, along with cornbread. Something different to try.
