Feedback gevenMy sister and I went on a Saturday evening to the restaurant. She has been to the restaurant on a Tuesday previously so we decided to go together.As soon as we arrived, the manager told us that the restaurant was full and food was taking about 30 min from the order to be served. As we did not have anywhere else to be afterwards we agreed to the time.We were pointed to our table and waited about 15 min for someone to come with the manus and to take our drink order. Not only that, this someone was the manager and she arrived after I tried to call a waitress several times.Drinks ordered, once delivered we made our food order. Both of us ordered Filet steaks which are very soft and well prepared. The food was indeed great and the price is fair.I finished my meal a little before my sister and drank the majority of my beer when the manager came again asking if I wanted another beer. I said I'd be waiting a little longer.My sister finished her meal and had a lot of her beer yet so I decided to order another one to accompany her. 30 min later and our plates were empty on the table and no one was coming. I was able to call another manager passing by but she hasn't put my order through. When the waitress came to the neighboring table (a couple who arrived after us and was able to pay and go before us) j asked her for the beer again and she seemed to be pissed for the reminder - nodding her head.The beer arrived and by the time we finished the drinks the restaurant was empty and we could pay and leave. I am not sure if this happened only because the restaurant was full but as a customer, I don't suggest going there if you don't have enough patience to wait for being assisted. The food is great, no doubt, but a restaurant should be a full experience, thus the 3 points.
Our first dinner was at Maredo, which we had been to on previous visits - but I was disappointed with the quality of the food - especially the Salad Bar - too many little flies "in" the salads. The service was good and my first steak was exchanged with no problems. The replacement I got was better - but whether I go back - not sure.
The rating is for the food. I had a wonderful burger with big chips that were fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. With extra sauce and mayo, my meal was very good. As per other reviews, my husband was not impressed, ordered his beers several times before they eventually came out. If Maredo's could improve their service (maybe additional staff), this place would be 5/5.
The atmosphere is nice, but the waiters are unorganized, clueless and unfriendly.They forget your order, or bring you something you did not order and even look offended when you tell them they made a mistake.I am not sure who is responsible but I never!!! got my steak the way I wanted. When I order medium I get rare, when I order well done I get a dry piece of meat or also rare. Unacceptable for a steakhouse!!Totally overpriced for the bad quality and service!
Not bad, not good, just your average steak restaurant, part of a big chain. Prices moderate to medium for what you get. For me there is a lack of local flavour.
