Feedback gevenI visited this restaurant for the second time and I must say the food was delicious. However, the staff seemed disorganized. One of us wanted a beer, a simple request one would think, but they only had one beer available. When he asked for a second, they had already sold out. How does a restaurant run out of beer at 6pm on a Friday night? It's a great place, but they need to improve their organization.
The appetizer platter was very dry and difficult to chew, the beef was too salty to finish. However, the garlic mushrooms were good. When asked about the food, I expressed my disappointment, but was still charged full price without any concern. I felt like I was taken advantage of. We paid £69 for two drinks and mostly inedible food. This experience was very disappointing. If I were in a similar situation at my hospitality business in North Wales, I would have refused payment.
The atmosphere is lovely, and the food and drinks are all top-notch. I wish I lived closer to this restaurant. I highly recommend booking a reservation as it is not a large venue.
Absolutely fantastic food. Really unusual dishes and really well prepared. Only downside they are really busy and having booked doesn’t guarantee your table. Part way through our meal we were asked if we could move to eat at the bar as they had double booked our table were compensated with complimentary wine. Having moved we were asked if we wanted more food we still hadn’t received what we ordered. Wen it arrived we were only given forks as they had run out of knives I ended up using my penknife! When the bill came the wine was still on it quickly rectified. An unfortunate evening however the place is lively and food superb. The manager was apologetic. Even though Open Table confirmed the booking the day before (booked a week in advance) maybe worth ringing to check as it really spoilt our evening.
Went there last night. The cocktails were good, and the food was great, but the staff were the highlight. All too often, staff working in restaurants are only there because they have to be, and their faces and lack of interest make it all too apparent. Last night's staff at Lata Lata were so incredibly friendly and entertaining ! that they were the highlight of the visit, and that's saying something because the food's pretty damned good already. Need to give a special shout out to Dan thanks for a great evening!! To those saying it's expensive... yes, of course a place doing exquisite food is going to be a bit pricey! If you want cheap rubbish, go to Spoons
