Was expecting a great feed after reading previous reviews however......the 'hand cut chips' were no where to be found and to be honest I've eaten better fish and chips.

An icon of Altona. Hand cut potato chips cooked fresh, Nobody else does that. Fresh oil. Generous fish and crunchy batter. If it tastes too different you've probably got used to frozen rubbish. Amazing.

Our friends love this fish & chip shop. So we gave it a try .It is like the old time fish & chip shops where they give extra potato cakes ect. The Chips are the best, hand cut potatoes not frozen from a bag mmmmm The service is 10/10

Hand cut daily, the chips are second to none, team that with the freshest fish and you are on your way to enjoying a taste sensation. Alex and his lovely wife have owned this shop for many years, the service is great and you are always greeted with a genuine smile. I would definitely recommend stopping in for some fresh food and friendly service.

Alex's Fish and Chips were delicious. He's a great bloke, as we had a chat while he was preparing lunch for my family. The flake we had was succulant and thick, the chips and potato cakes were freshly cut from potatoes, yes not rehydrated frozen chips that most people serve, and crispy.
