The Shortland Street Cafe

Had the Falafel wrap which was delicious. The service was quick for a work lunch and take away. The server was friendly and engaging.

My favourite coffee on Shortland st. Good coffee card and friendly safe. Good ambience less formal than many of the other cafes on Shortland st. Good muffins.

Woah! What a surprise this place turned out to be for me.I had a coffee here earlier in the week, and as the coffee was pretty good and food looked OK, I went back today for a breakfast. I am so glad I did.<br/ <br/ All I have to say is that the Eggs Benedict was served on homemade hash browns instead of muffins or toast! Which in my book is an absolute winner! Totally inspired, and gives a really nice surprise to a standard breakfast offering.<br/ <br/ Staff pretty friendly also. The cafe itself is a little unassuming, but beautifully decorated within. Definitely recommend. It's worth the small stroll from Queen St and the waterfront to head here!

Went here for a breakfast on the run this morning. I was greeted by a very friendly lady behind the counter who served me and got me a spinach and mozzarella twist. They heated it and it was pretty good, the flavour was there but the filling was a bit strange. I would definitely come back after seeing what else they had in the cabinet and on the menu!
