This place is definitely the closest look and feel to an American diner, if that's what you're looking for. The cooks were pleasant and the place was clean. As far as the taste of the food, I do appreciate a good American-style burger. I've found that a lot of burgers in NZ put unnecessary seasonings in their meat (thyme or cinnamon? No thank you) but these are more plain. They're less expensive than many burger places in Auckland. The fries were decent, obviously frozen to start but they had a good crisp and were fluffy on the inside. The strawberry shake was a TRAVESTY. Before I ordered, I asked one of the cooks if they were thin, milky UK style or the thick, American style and she said they were thick. LET ME TELL YOU it was the most disappointed I've ever been with a shake. It was thin and milky and flavored with sugary shaved ice flavoring (you know, that neon pink syrup that's pumped out of a bottle). I'm mad at this shake and couldn't drink it. Seven dollars for cheap strawberry milk.
We saw The White Lady packed with so many party people that night and we decided to give it a try. I shared it with my husband and we ordered the one with egg haha! We were def drunk that time. The waiting time is pretty long maybe 15-20 mins but we def enjoyed every bite of our freshly made burgers! Id love to try it again when sober maybe it will male a difference. Haha!
Burgers always fresh and great late night snack. Always done right, bars around the area, hotels, showgirls, all at your fingertips. Great location! Easy uber home after too
I genuinely don't know how this got higher ratings. Even while I was BUZZED, these burgers were sub par. They were some of the worst burgers I've ever had. I feel really bad that this is one of my first yelp ratings... but feel even worse wasting calories here. 5/10 sorry
