Corner Chippy - Wyre

On a chilly winter evening, there is nothing better than enjoying a traditional fish and chips dinner. For years, our Friday night tradition has been to visit the Corner Chippy for this delicious treat. Karen and Glen always greet us warmly, and the fish is always freshly cooked to perfection. The portion sizes are generous and we always leave satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I have been a customer of Corner Chippy for several years, enjoying their fish and chips despite the portion size being small. However, my recent experience on Friday has led me to walk out and vow not to return. The reason? The abysmal service. Upon entering the shop, I found the lady behind the counter engaged in a lengthy conversation with a single customer (me). Despite being the only customer, she continued to chat, leaving me completely ignored for fifteen minutes. This lack of attention was not the only issue, as I also recall a previous incident where I requested two separate bags for my order (one for my wife and me, and one for a friend who lived on a different street) and was denied by the same woman. Is this level of pettiness acceptable? I think not.

This typical Fish and Chips shop serves very small portions of fish, which makes it quite pricey. I had visited a few weeks prior and received another small portion of fish, so I will not be returning again.

Great tasting fish n chips, plentiful and well cooked at a reasonable price but the kids all had pie n chips and non of them liked them !!!!

I pre ordered a big order for family friends to go down on the beach to have lunch the corner chippy thought of all the little extras I needed without having to ask they made sure we had forks, napkins extra trays gave us a tub of salt and bottle of vinaigrette. It was my first time at this chippy and I will definitely go back
