Sur - Xabia

After looking for a sea restaurant in Xabia we took a punt on on restaurant Sur. The drive to the restaurant is so pretty. Hills and winding roads with scenery to die for. We arrived and got a table for 10 upstairs in their terrace section. This was LOVELY until a downpour meant the tarp canvass roof leaking in parts. But this was not a real issue as we were quickly moved under the fixed roof section of the upper floor. Our group shared various paellas and sea food dishes. Mains were €18 to €20 and starters far cheaper. We also drank a lovely Chardonnay for €19 a bottle. Having researched the place beforehand we think the fantastic older waitress was the matriarch of this long established, but modernised family restaurant. She was lovely and accommodating of our terrible non Spanish! Ten of us spent 3 hours here and 10 mains, 3 shared starters, 7 desserts, 2 bottles of wine and multiple soft drinks cost us €350 before tip. We jacked it up to €400 with tip. So, so, so worth it!

We so enjoy this delightfully located restaurant and cannot resist visiting every time we are in Javea. Never disappointed with the food/wines and the lovely family that run it.

Fabulous food ambience and service. All with a backdrop of this lovely cove. Great wine list too. Highly recommended for a special treat.

Una vez por año es visita obligada y van 6! Recomiendo fideuás y paellas en especial , pero ojito a los postres! Si le sumamos una atención humana extraordinaria y la ubicacion, para que quieres más! 10 sobre 10 ! Volveremos ! Y seguiremos mandando amigos como cada año!

Un sitio Espectacular!! La comida buenísima y las vistas increíbles, muy recomendable. Yo vine aquí con una amiga que es Valenciana y conocía el sitio y el restaurante, ella reservó antes (es mejor y más si váis a pedir paella) Pedimos el arroz al seyoret para dos, es el arroz que ya va todo peladito; Estaba buenísimo. La única pega que le pongo al sitio, es que si ya conocéis estás calas, el restaurante no tiene aparcamiento en sí, es el mismo aparcamiento de las calas. Yo os recomiendo venir pronto y así es más fácil encontrar aparcamiento y además ya hay que pagar por ello.
