Feedback gevenSince the restaurant was renovated at the first arrival, we decided to extend our stay in xian for an additional night to ensure that we could eat here. the owner was beautiful and has spoken to us a past, to exchange stories. we had a few meal times, including the chana masala (because one of the meal was missing, but at least we were full of the first meal we had! and we were given 50% of the bill.
Went this restaurant several times, firstly i want to mention that this not purely vegetarian restaurant coz they have some non veg dishes in the menu also, though very famous one. Last week i went there with some of my friends and most of prefer to take vegetarian food coz four of them was purely vegetarian. so we ordered some Veg dishes like the Famous Dal Makhani, Butter Paneer, Aalu Gobi, Chana Masala, Kadhai Paneer with some Naans and Veg Biryani. and le me tell ya, all dishes were like real in taste as we used to have in India, its very hard to get real Indian taste here in china. Chana Masala i like the most. The Interior of the restaurant is excellent decorated, atmosphere and staff of the restaurant is very friendly all are Chinese and English speaking staff they have. Service is perfect. you can watch live Bollywood dance while having food. it was really fun and worthy to Visit and Have food there. Hope to visit again there. and i highly recommend if you are in Xian, nust Visit.
I am vegetarian are you ? I am a vegetarian, so the only place i dared to go for dining in Xi’an China was this. The dishes i ordered BBQ Paneer Tikka Indian homemade cheese)Mushroom Tikka again stuffed Bbq Mushroom and Vegetable kebab if you are fan of kebab this place is perfect apart from BBQ I love Aloo-Palak blend spinach with potato and mix vegetable so yummy The food was very tasty , quantity good. And every single Indian Chinese staff speaks very good English. It’s not the pure vegetarian place so in the menu there were some lamb, chicken and fish dishes as well, i made sure its all vegetarian and it was all very very tasty and inexpensive, weekend this place always packed better make reservation or have to wait around 30 min and sometime more.
First to note! This restaurant is not where it shows up on the map! The address is correct, but it is located in the Tang Dynasty West Market a new shopping center with many different restaurants and shops. We walked over 3 miles to find this place. If you go to the market to the area for Chinese Film Cinema, it is located up on the second floor. It's hard to see the name of the restaurant if you are on ground level. It was well worth the walk! If you are vegan and you prefer, this restaurant even has a separate dining area for vegans, so they don't have to see any meat or non vegan products. We sat in normal dining. The wait staff was very pleasant and helpful. They spoke english fluently and we had a nice conversation with them. They would love to see more travelers visit! The food was so well crafted. It was some of the best Indian food my husband and I have had.
Redfort is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Xian. Very well decorated, English speaking managers and a very nice menu with many veg options. They have Indian Bollywood Dance and a very big projector screen for enjoying Bollywood music and movies. I would really love to go there whenever I am travelling to Xian.
