Barrel House Restaurant - Yakima

Very sad to see Barrel House close for good. I'll append my original review by saying they also had some of the best fish and chips I've eaten. Their clam chowder was exceptional. I'd venture to say it was the most reliably good restaurant in town for eating a variety of classic and contemporary American food. ... Good food. Best burgers in town. I've never been disappointed ordering one of the specials. A handful of good Craft Beer taps.

Good food at a good price. I had the southwest cobb and it was very fresh with great tasting chicken. Nice wines and tasty beers. Great service too.

This is the best kept secret in Yakima. The food is amazing. I love the Portabello Mushroom sandwich, but I've also enjoyed the red pepper pasta and the breakfast burrito. Burgers are stellar also.

Absolutely a rare gem in yakima. my buddy from the DOC was down town and suggested we meet for lunch. i was skeptical at first, but the food definitely won me over. can you say perfection? i think you can! i wasnt a burger fan, but thanks to this spot, i came back for seconds! the service was impecable and to boot, the owner threw in some free home baked cookies just because. OUTSTANDING. :-D you just dont receive this caliber of food and service anymore, especially at this price! highly recommended.

I used to like going to the barrel house they had a good menu at a great price this last summer 2012 they change their menu and I've been very disappointed in that menu I would not suggest going unless they change the menu back
