We had veg thalis and half way thru we could make out that they lost their touch. The entree was a very oily banana dosa, oily sabudana dosa and oily something else so we didn't have an appetite by the time the main couse started which was a piir selection of veggies- beans porial and the other two were some root veggies deep fried. We had to ask for curd. There was only one poor mans dessert. We had asked for gongura mutton on the side and it was really stringy meat. To be Grand Bay and not beibg particular from where your meat comes from is not worth it.
Probably Vizag's most underrated Chinese restaurant! Tucked away opposite the much larger Oceanic Pavilion, this cozy place has always had good staff, and a menu that never let us down. Their chopsueys are excellent, as are the shasliks. Most days they have a one man band singing golden English songs. Pricey, but worth it once in a while. Best suited for a quiet evening out. Restaurant is seldom full :)
The Residency - Food is as good as we expect. Everything you eat seems tastier than the before one. But, what lacks is service. Coming to fruit punch it was way too sweet, ambience is pretty good
The service is excellent. Polite, well-informed chef who insisted me to order fearlessly as he would prepare a gluten-free meal for me, separately. The food was good. My husband loved the crab. I loved the thali and its multiple component Katori with vegetable preparations. The appam was absolutely delicious. The ambiance, the silverware, the hospitality- it will make your day. It's pricey, of course! But it's worth the visit atleast once.
