Royal Hotel - YARRAMAN

We wanted a pizza for dinner so decided to try the royal. After being told it would take half an hour, an hour later we received our disgusting, tough worst ever pizza. It was so bad you could not eve chew it. The dogs didn't want it either. Will never ever go back.

The service at this restaurant was excellent, with friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. The food was truly of top quality, with our lamb shanks and stuffed chicken breast being absolutely delicious. I highly recommend coming here for a great meal.

As we were staying in the motel nearby this seemed like the best choice for dinner. We ordered entrees and mains and because it was so busy, we took ourselves out to the dining room. After 50 minutes, I had to ask the lady (I think she was the owner) where our food was. Ten minutes later (so an hour after we ordered) she came out with it, saying she had had to cook it herself. From the dining room, we could hear every word the cook said and he wasn’t happy. Yea, he was busy but still. Our mains arrived not too long after entree and while the food was fine, our experience was tarnished by the delay, and the cook’s running commentary.

Dave (we think that’s the barman’s name) and Paula were so warm and friendly. Food was AMAZING, place was spotless, and incredibly great value for money. Our Pomeranian was made feel incredibly welcome, and we will most definitely be stopping in again when next travelling through.

My two friends and I waited 15 minutes at the bar to be served, but the two bar staff ignored us and served everyone else. They were incredibly rude and unprofessional, so we decided to leave. We ended up going to a very cool pub at Blackbutt instead. I would rate the Royal with one star, but unfortunately, I have to give it the lowest rating possible.
