I ordered the green eggs, but the scramble was overcooked and not very green. The polenta fingers had an odd taste, and the whole plate lacked flavor. My friend ordered Dr. Marty's crumpets and enjoyed them, noting they looked appetizing. There are plenty of other fantastic dining options nearby, so I likely won't be returning to this restaurant.
Woven is a popular and welcoming choice for breakfast. I ordered the sampler breakfast and enjoyed the delicious variety of options available.
The barista is extremely rude (with a major attitude problem), the cook talks badly about customers behind their backs (yes, we overheard), and the waitress is inattentive. If you enjoy being treated rudely, with a sprinkle of unfriendliness and a side of being ignored while you eat breakfast, then this is the perfect cafe for you. I will never return to this place again.
13 of us had breakfast at Woven after a cycle class at the studio a couple of doors up after visiting from the country region. All our hot drinks were brought out in no time and our meals were all brought out together and there were no mix ups, all of our meals were delicious and tasty, especially the eggs bene, my eggs were runny which is how I asked for them. The service is friendly and fast, my only negative is no split bills which is painful for the patrons. It’s a busy little place and well worth a visit
This was my regular cafe when I lived in Melbourne. I think it has changed hands as the menu is different more organic and healthy food lots of kale! The breakfast was ok but nothing special and after asking for an extra hot, hot chocolate I received a warm one! Why is Melbourne the only city in the world that doesn't serve hot coffee unless you ask for it and then it is still not really hot. The service was great. The wifi blocked for downloading. Was a problem all through Melbourne cafes. Either no wifi or blocked.
