I wouldn't go back.
The chateau yering hotel sweetwater cafe is located in the interior of the beautiful historical chateau yering hotel between the historic building and the hotel rooms. the room is bright and with views of the stunning gardens on both sides. eating was disappointing lack of season and a little inspiring for a hotel this review. the service is very disappointing with no one to welcome how they enter and great delays for taking orders very disappointing as service in the main restaurant and the caffe are one of the areas that need a considerable overhaul.
We had just eaten at lunch and it was horrible! the best was probably the wee of tarrawarra! the pasta was preboiled and reheated (both the pasta and soss were unusually hot when she served us that the plate was preboiled, then microshaft when ordered).) the antipasto plate was the worst I ever had. the meats were all old and chew (not freshly cut), and were served with 4 small crackers $24 for old meat, which I would not even feed the dogs! the service was also not great; I had to get up to get my own water. that is good if we were not charged extra 10% for the weekend supplement. avoid this place to all cost, bad food, bad service and extra 10%...read more
We were on Saturday afternoon, we were 4 adults. the location is really nice and the personal was really nice. Unfortunately, eating was not good at all. we had the Italian style burger, the sweetburger, the gerstensalat and calamari. that was not fresh at all. the Burger bung looks like a few days, the calamari was very fish and the salads had no taste. was very disappointed. the place has so much potential, only need to update the menu and possibly a new cook or fresh ingredients.
We had breakfast here as part of the Go Wild Ballooning package. It was all you could eat cereal and toast and some deli style meats and cheese as well as one main breakfast. I had bircher muesli and wholegrain toast followed by the big breakfast. A flat white was included. Overall it was quite good. Mish
