I ordered the platter for 2-4 people with an additional Prosciutto, which we shared among 3 people. The cheeses were decent overall, but the portions were lacking for some of them, like the curds. Personally, I could have done without the quince paste (who even eats it?) and the caramelized onions, which were too sweet and did not complement the platter. The Prosciutto add-on was dry and cut quite thick. A piece of baguette was served with the Prosciutto, but it was not very impressive and required effort to cut through. Despite Muscatels being listed as part of the platter, they were nowhere to be found. Overall, the experience was okay, but not worth the 40-minute drive.
We always make a point of stopping here for lunch when in the Yarra Valley. The produce if first class and the small eating are is small but welcoming as are the staff.
Visited here with my husband recently, we were pleasantly surprised. The old rustic milking shed dairy turned into a cafe was a great idea. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered milkshakes and cheese platter to share. The cheeses were very tasty; was hard to choose a favourite. Cosy place with large views of the surrounding paddocks; would have been nice to have seen some cows or farms animals. This place is definitely worth a visit.
Came with two friends. Ordered one cheese platter and one melted cheese to share. Food tasted very good. Service was excellent. A cosy and relaxing place to stop for lunch or tea. The view from the cafe was amazing.
