The menu offers a variety of options, including casual favorites like noodles and curry with rice, as well as healthier choices like lions mane mushroom soup and stir fry of roots and yams. My party of three tried four different dishes and found everything to be delicious and not greasy. I would highly recommend this place.
This was my first time visiting a Loving Hut restaurant, and I was thrilled. As I approached the entrance, I noticed a large message board on the left side with Chinese explanations about Veganism. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and well-organized, featuring a variety of dining table options. I decided to try the American Tartar Crisp Steak Rice Set for only TWD160, which included a pumpkin soup and a small bowl of guava fruit. The presentation was impressive, and the food was served promptly. I had a pleasant conversation with the friendly staff, who seemed excited to see a foreigner. It was refreshing to be able to order vegan food without any complications. I wanted to try more dishes, but I was already full. It took me about 15 minutes to walk from the Yilan train station with the help of two junior high school students. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and the menu offers a variety of options, including Chef's Selected Dishes, Stir Fry, Specialty Set Meals with Soup, LH Fast Food, Hot Pot, and A La Carte.
I visited this restaurant again in July 2019 after discovering it on HappyCow. This is my review of Yilan Loving Hat. The restaurant has been in operation for at least a decade, and I previously visited in 2010. It is a casual establishment with a diverse menu of Taiwanese/Chinese dishes. While some items like noodles and curry with rice are more typical, there are also healthier and more unique options like lion's mane mushroom soup and stir-fried root vegetables and yams. My group of three tried four different dishes, and all were delicious and not greasy. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
