Bill's - York

I don't often do restauranty restaurants but I was treated to dinner here with family and it was an all-round lovely experience. The venue has a lovely, stylish ambience and the staff are very friendly and professional. The food is very good; I enjoyed my chicken shawarma although it could have included another chilli or six, but maybe that's my taste! The wine was also good quality and the banoffee sundae was absolutely lush.

We visited Bills for my daughters birthday breakfast. Everything was perfect from the food to the service. Walter our waiter went above and beyond to ensure that we (as a family with 6 fussy kids, including two toddlers) had everything we needed. Sometimes visiting with children can feel stressful but Bills made us feel very relaxed and welcome. Thank you.

Decent food, decent service. Standard “york” prices. Special? No. Decent? Yes. Good for kids….. yes but small kid portions, i’d have got more from a happy meal. Service Charge added on to the bill, unable to remove from the scan and pay app link on the table making it purposely harder to remove by having to queue and ask for bill and for staff to remove it. Service bills are a joke in the UK and should be illegal to be added automatically. This really soured my visit to the point where i’ll never take my business here again.

Impromptu stop for coffee and a bite to eat. Excellent bacon bap cooked perfectly. The highlight though was the excellent service from Ryan genuinely friendly and a credit to the business. Will certainly be back next time we visit York.

My husband and I visited this morning for breakfast with our 2 dogs. The quality of the food was very good and our server was super friendly and helpful. It was also very reasonably priced for the quality and we would definitely return.
