Duke Of York

I can't say enough good things about the staff and food! This was our second visit to York in just a few months, and dining here was top on our list of must-do activities. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my medically-restricted diet, showing genuine concern and creating delicious dishes. The cocktails were also excellent. Highly recommend!

The service was extremely slow and they had run out of most things on the menu. When the food did arrive it was nice but very over priced. The pub itself was a nice vibe and interior.

Great pub! Whilst staying in York for a short break, we visited this pub on a Sunday evening. It was quiz night, but we managed to find a free table and enjoy some drinks as well as guess a few answers to the quiz questions. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere and decor of the pub was lovely!

Whenever we come to York we like to visit this pub. You can either relax with a drink or have a meal whichever you fancy. I was looking forward to the Butternut Squash Risotto which I had last year and was disappointed that they’d removed it from the menu I guess I was foolish for thinking that they wouldn’t change it.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times in the past year and I highly recommend it for its excellent service, delicious food, and charming historic location in the heart of York. It offers great value and quality.
