Lovely pub with traditional feel but modern take. Generous quality portions at a good price. Helpful staff will definitely go back! Near York Minster so great location too. We are locals all enjoyed the meal atmosphere.

We had a great time at our annual Christmas lunch at the Eagle and Child with a large group of friends. The food was superb and the staff were very attentive and welcoming. The prices were also affordable, so I highly recommend this restaurant.

The toilets wasn’t clean, we had to wait nearly an hour for the meal one of the fryers was broken) the veg was lukewarm warm, The pie and chips was good, the staff were great,and an excellent range of well kept beers.

Sunday roast was delightful. Nice, cozy place. I would definitely return if I am ever in York again.
