I received friendly service, and our order was brought out quickly. The food was excellent—my Eggs Benedict was particularly impressive. Overall, I was very pleased with the entire experience.

I enjoyed spending half a day outdoors. The gardens are stunning, and I especially liked the forest area with the small pyramid in the center. However, the house wasn't really my thing; there isn't much to see, and most areas inside are inaccessible. I don't plan on returning. This location would greatly benefit from offering boat or kayak rentals on the lake.

The plots and courtyard, including the tables, shop, restrooms, and restaurant, are absolutely stunning. Although the house was closed during our visit, we were fortunate to have beautiful weather, allowing us to explore the area. We truly enjoyed our time there, and it had been at least 40 years since my last visit to Castle Howard!

Had a nice “light lunch” with friends before a walk through the gardens. we all had sandwiches different kind together with good old yorkshire tee. castle howard is a spectacular place to visit and the gardens, lakes and different buildings can keep them occupied for a whole day.
