Hotel du Vin & Bistro - York

This truly marvellous hotel, the staff, the food, and the decor and ambience are all first rate!… I have disabilities and the team all bent over backwards to help me… Do not hesitate!!… it’s a wonderful experience here :

The hotel is beautiful and has a fantastic private carpark which is really important to us. Our room was amazing but it did have one flaw, which I'm seeing more and more in hotel rooms recently, it had no mirror! It had two full length mirrors, both in dark corners with no lighting but no mirror to see to do my makeup and hair. There wasn't even one in the bathroom which had amazing natural light so it would have been perfect in there. Other than that it's one of the best rooms we've stayed in, and we travel a lot. A big room with a bath in it and a massive shower to die for all added to the luxury of this room. We ate in the restaurant and although short staffed the young man running it did an amazing job on his own and the food was delicious. He should be congratulated because he did all the jobs that night, seating guests, taking orders, making the drinks AND working the bar, bringing our food, checking on us then wishing us goodnight as we left. He was even there when we arrived back to the hotel late that night and served us another drink before wishing us goodnight again. A true asset to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will be back again the next time we stay in York

Our favourite UK hotel chain. The beds are always comfortable, bed linen luxurious, breakfast the best for miles around, service friendly. Our room this time was a little bijou but lovely. Recommended.

Fantastic stay, staff were all so lovely and helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect for walking into town, it's maybe a 15 minute walk but really easy and you get to pass through the city gates everyday which is lovely. Bedroom was gorgeously decorated and really clean, we loved the big bath and the sustainable daily cleaning option is really good to see. Even through we only had a classic room still had lovely tea and coffee and plenty of space for our things. The one downside I do have is one side of our bed was very uncomfortable. My partner and I swapped sides over the 2 nights we stayed and we both struggled to sleep on one particular side of the bed. Beyond that I can't fault the hotel and their fantastic staff.

Parfait! We booked a 1 night stay based on the Hotel reviews alone. The Hotel was clean and had a very pleasant atmosphere. Staff were always available, polite and helpful but also discreet and respectful at all times. Food was of high quality as was the table service. We forgot to collect our phone charger on departure, and after a brief phone call the item was posted back to us straight away. Thank you for the impeccable service, we will return.
