La Mian - York

The noodles and dumplings at this small restaurant in York are absolutely delicious. They are the best noodles I have ever had. I would highly recommend this place for either takeout or dining in. If I lived in the area, I would definitely visit this restaurant regularly.

I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and found it to be quite empty. I hope it gets more customers in the future. The noodle soup I ordered had high quality noodles, but the overall taste of the dish didn't impress me. I think the tofu and egg combination might not be the most flavorful choice. However, they do offer a delicious chili sauce that added a lot of flavor to the dish. This restaurant is a great option for those looking for authentic Chinese cuisine instead of the usual Western dishes.

The quality of the hand-pulled noodles at this restaurant was outstanding and authentic! I ordered the Dan Dan noodles and each bite was bursting with flavor, unlike other places where it's just all about the peppercorn spice. It was evident that it was the first time both the waitress and chef had to manage a nut allergy (in my partner), but they were extremely cautious with their recommendations and ultimately accommodated my partner's needs. Wishing the best for this hidden gem in York - they truly deserve to become more popular!

Hands down the best noodles I’ve eaten outside China. Absolutely over the moon that this place has opened! Compliments to the chef the dan dan noodles and beef noodles are outstanding and tasted completely authentic (Chengdu would be proud! . I’m looking forward to trying more of the menu! Friendly service and great prices. This place is just what York needs, and I wish it every success.

Delicious hand pulled noodles in a beautiful bark broth. we also had the dish. perfectly cooked with crispy skin. as a newbie, they only take cash until the card machine is installed. very authentic tasting. we're coming back.
