Mr Chippy - York

Great fish and chips for a tenner, so not super cheap but lovely food and a nice place to sit down upstairs.

My Wife I visited Mr Chippy whilst staying in York, This is by far the best chippy meal we have had in a long time, The chips were cooked perfectly, The fish batter was perfect, not greasy at all, We both really enjoyed our meal, We had a good chat with the shop manager (didn't catch his name) but his passion attention to detail certainly go along way to the quality taste of the food here. If you are looking for a good chippy meal then I would recommend visiting Mr Chippy. Our curiosity for a battered cream egg got the better of us we had to try one. The Manager was 100% correct in the fact that they are somehow just amazing We will be back when we visit York in the future.

Best place to go for fish and chips and mushy peas. I've had there battered sausage and cheese burger too. Everything I've had has been delicious. They have a good variety for vegans and gluten free. Cans and bottles of pop also tea and coffee. Friendly, warm welcoming staff. The manager max is fantastic.

Was rushing about to meet up with some friends and had some time (20 mins) to get some dinner. Stopped in, friendly welcome and answered my query with no fuss checking dairy content of batter. Smiles all round and I sat and ate the best fish and chips I'd had in a while!!! Filled me up, no complaints and really appreciated being able to dine in as it was pouring down with rain. Thanked both members of staff for a lovely meal when I left, and would recommend anyone to stop by!

Fish and chips is a rare treat for me so I look for quality. The Haddock and Chips with Scraps I got here were excellent . Crispy and light and not too greasy. The serving staff were friendly and we managed to sit outside and relax while eating.
