Whilst I watched her prepare the drinks she also took a vodka out the optic. Left it on the bar near the optics. Overcharged me by £4.00 at least, when I questioned her about the vodka and overpayment she made me wait. I’d caught her out!! I’d check your stocks on Vodka when SHARON is working.
I went to a peaceful pub located close to the center of York with some friends who were visiting from Australia for the first time. The drinks were great and it's a lovely pub to check out if you're in town.
The Roman Bath Pub is a great pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip to the historic Roman walled city I take. I love the look of this pub ,the interior is very traditional,an island style serving bar ,great decor and furnishings ,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,the most distinctive feature of the pub is the Great Wall art that adorns the walls depicting ancient Roman scenes alluding to the Roman museum in the basement of the pub. We were here on a Monday night,we ordered a bitter each, these were served in pristine condition,we chilled out and took in the great vibe in this busy and popular city centre pub. My bitter was really good ,a crisp, well balanced bitter,in my opinion a much underrated beer style, when served iced cold as in this pub it's such a refreshing brew. We really enjoyed our bitters in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Roman Bath Pub is easy to locate along St Sampsons Square. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, open from midday. Friday to Sunday, open from 11am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.
If there 's one pub I know I am going to visit on any trip I take to York it 's the Roman Bath Pub,a pub I always look forward to sampling some great real ales. This is a fine looking pub,the interior is superb ,the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar, some nice decor and furnishings, tv 's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, there 's also some amazing wall art depicting scenes of ancient Roman 's enjoying and relaxing in their famous bath houses, these great paintings alludes to the fact that this pub has a museum of Roman ruins and artifacts, when the pub was being constructed in between 1929 1931 architects discovered Roman Ruins ,so nowadays you can for a small fee visit the basement museum within this pub and view a Tepidarium warm room Calderon steam room and Frigidarium plunge room plus some amazing tiled motifs and innumerable ancient Roman artifacts, it really is a cool little museum. On this visit on a Thursday night my twin brother Stephen and I were here only for beers, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff, after a quick study of the real ales on offer we both opted to have Timothy Taylor 's Brewery landlord these were served in excellent condition, we got a nice table were we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My real ale was exceptional, the ales brewed by Timothy Taylor 's Brewery are superb and their landlord is a particular favourite of mine, it 's a classic pale ale, hints of citrus and caramel, a delicate hoppy brew that is such a delightful brew and at 4.3% a great session ale. We both really enjoyed our real ales in here but as we were pub hopping around York we reluctantly moved on and as on every other visit to The Roman Bath Pub we had a wonderful time. The Roman Bath Pub is easy to locate on Sampson 's Square. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 11am till 11pm. A great pub,one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.
The pub had a decent interior, but it was a bit dimly lit. I opted for the dish of the day, pork loin, which was drowning in gravy. The Yorkshire pudding was soggy, the roast potatoes were overcooked and lacked flavor. My husband ordered the chicken tikka, which came without chutney and had an overwhelming lemon taste that made it inedible.
