The Wenlock Arms - York

It was a bit of a journey for us, but it was definitely worth it. The food was delicious, the prices were fair, and the staff was very friendly. Thank you, I will definitely be returning if I find myself in the area again.

I dined at the Wenlock Arms last weekend and had not yet tried their food. I was pleasantly surprised by the first-class service, with friendly and courteous staff who were attentive and happy to explain the dishes. The service was exemplary and I couldn't find any faults. The food was delicious, made with high-quality ingredients and prepared well. The menu had a good variety of options, not too few to limit choices but not too many to question its freshness. I am looking forward to returning and will definitely recommend this restaurant. One suggestion would be to replace the bottles and bottle boxes on the high shelves with some decorative wine bottles and boxes.

Only entered for Sunday dinner and not disappointed! Everything was delicious and nicely cooked and the Veggie option was very good (nut roast.) I had only the smaller portion lunch, but still a good plate full. The staff was nice and friendly and a wide selection of drinks. Husband loved his Jaffa cake pudding! Will definitely return.

In the six months I lived in York, I tried 90% of the pubs and restaurants and The Wenlock is my favorite. The food is incredible and the staff is the best I've met so far. I love this pub. You have to visit him. Dear Dan the Bricky. Xxx

A warm welcoming pub, good food and the staff were polite, efficient and friendly. Definitely go again.
